Help Tacloban with 100copies
The calamity brought by Typhoon Haiyan did not only unify the Filipinos but also served as a chance for the world to reach out and help. Private and public sectors from countries all over the globe immediately sent in their aid after seeing the devastating aftermath of what was said as the strongest typhoon recorded in history.
Thousands of lives were taken and billions worth of properties were loss by our fellowmen from Tacloban, Leyte, a Visayan province most affected by the typhoon. And so, fundraising projects in all kinds were kick started as to help Filipinos in recovering from this recent devastation.
And from a neighboring country comes in 100copies, a project by award-winning Creative Director Thomas Yang of DDB Worldwide Singapore. Influenced by his passion for cycling and art, Thomas Yang started 100copies which according to its website is “a collection of art prints that not only feature, but is also driven by, the passion for cycling. As with cycling, speed is of the essence, so each piece of work is limited to 100 copies only.”
With the drive to help out Taclobanons, 100copies came out with “Pedal On, Tacloban” a 24 x 33 art print on sale in which proceeds will be directed to the Red Cross Haiyan Relief. Limited to 100 copies and each watermarked and labeled with the title and edition number, “Pedal On, Tacloban” is a great way to acquire art and at the same time help our fellowmen in need.
