A Reunion of Sorts: The Teeth Comeback Concert

“Kabilin-bilinan ng lola, huwag nang uminom ng serbesa!” echoed the Metrotent last May 15 during Teeth’s reunion concert. A tinge of nostalgia and pure rock and roll made the show an experience to remember for Teeth fans old and new.

Inspired by the cassette tape, Teeth played two sets fittingly called Side A and Side B. Sandwiched in between was a special screening of Lourd De Veyra, Jun Sabayton, and RA Rivera’s Wasak featuring three-fifths of the band. Front acts Chicosci, Kamikazee, and The Diegos also gave a great performance as to anticipate the highlight of the night.

Performing 21 of their songs, Teeth made their musical presence felt as if it was still the ‘90s. From hits like Darating, Prinsesa, the show’s encore Shooting Star, and crowd favorites Unleaded, Time Machine, and Dogs Can Fly, the five-piece rocked the night with their excellent sound in a concert like no other.

Spotted in the crowd were TeamManila and Daily Grind shirts as worn by the audience. The limited edition Teeth x TeamManila shirts, on sale for P500, were also available that night as to add more reunion feel. Truly, it was a night meant for the Teeth as they return aged in terms of musicality and showmanship.
