School Spirit’s In: Group Study at NU
It was no ordinary Thursday for the National University as Locked Down Entertainment and TeamManila rocked the Bulldogs’ campus at the second leg of Group Study last July 30.
A multimedia campus tour that aims to promote Filipino creativity, Group Study is a collaborative effort that roams around Metro Manila’s colleges and universities.
As early as 4pm, students were already lining at TeamManila’s Screen Machine where exclusive Group Study x TeamManila shirts were silkscreened and sold at P100 or P199 a piece. Special TeamManila goodies like shirts and stickers were also given away.
To warm the night’s activities was a special number from the National University Pep Squad, the current defending champion of the UAAP Cheerdance. Performances from bands Pedicab and Assembly Generals followed through. As part of Group Study’s goal to spread learning, TeamManila founders Jowee Alviar and Raymund Punzalan gave a short talk on TeamManila’s beginnings, creativity, and means to promote local culture. This was followed by more music from Imago, Flying Ipis, and Sandwich who closed the night with a bang.
The next Group Study will be at the Technological University of the Philippines this coming August 26. For updates and more, follow Group Study and TeamManila on Facebook. See you!
